Four Channels in Sawah Besar Being Repaired

The Central Jakarta Water Resource Sub-agency (SDA) Task Force is repairing the water channels' walls and manhole covers located in Mangga Dua Selatan, Gunung Sahari Utara, and Pasar Baru areas.

Sawah Besar Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Yusuf said the repair of these channels followed up on complaints from residents submitted via the CRM application and reflects synergy with other OPDs.

In Mangga Dua Selatan, the repair was focused on the 140-long-meter channel on Jalan Mangga Besar 13, RW 06.

"The two sides of the channel on this road have been replaced and elevated. The work involves six personnel and the progress is only 26 percent," he expressed, Thursday (4/17).

In Gunung Sahari Utara, there were two channel points repaired on Jalan Gunung Sahari 11, RW 03. This was done by installing river stones and raising the channel walls by 20 centimeters and making a concrete cover.

"This work involves 11 personnel," he added.

Aside that, his party had completed the repairs of the wall and cover, as well as the elevation of the channel along 2.5 meters on Jalan Kelinci Raya, Pasar Baru Urban Village.

"This channel involved 21 personnel is elevated about 10 centimeters and widened by 15 centimeters to anticipate flooding," he added.
